KBS2’s upcoming weekend drama “Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” (literal translation) has unveiled a new poster!
“Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” tells the story of the five brothers of the traditional brewery Eagle Brewery, which has been making traditional liquor for three generations, and their eldest sister-in-law, who suddenly becomes the head of the family after her husband’s unexpected death just ten days into their marriage.
Uhm Ji Won, playing Ma Kwang Sook, a post office clerk, immediately stands out. Dressed in a bold red suit, she holds a megaphone and smiles brightly, showcasing her upbeat personality and strong leadership as she guides her brothers-in-law.
In contrast, Ahn Jae Wook, portraying Han Dong Seok, chairman of LX Hotel, stands with his arms crossed and a blank expression, highlighting his stern, cold nature. His serious demeanor, especially when surrounded by Kwang Sook and her brothers-in-law, who are his complete opposites, sparks curiosity about the dynamics and stories that will unfold between them.
Ma Kwang Sook’s four brothers-in-law also stand out. Choi Dae Chul as Oh Cheon Soo, Kim Dong Wan as Oh Heung Soo, Yoon Bak as Oh Beom Soo, and Lee Seok Ki as Oh Kang Soo each strike a bold pose, staring intensely forward. They balance quirky items on their shoulders and heads, including a green onion, a cracked gourd, a kettle lid, and a cabbage, giving off a strong, unique presence. Having endured tough hardships and with difficult pasts, they come to fully trust and follow Kwang Sook.
Adding to the excitement, makgeolli (Korean traditional liquor) and pajeon (Korean pancake) flying above the six characters hint at a lively, refreshing story, building anticipation for the wild events set to unfold at Eagle Brewery.
The poster’s phrase, “The mismatched Oh brothers unite through makgeolli!” grabs attention, raising curiosity about how the Oh brothers, who have faced many challenges, will change through their time at Eagle Brewery.
“Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers” is set to premiere on February 1 at 8 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Iron Family.”
