TXT’s Yeonjun has apologized for a now-deleted Instagram post made on Korea’s National Liberation Day.
On August 15, Yeonjun briefly posted several photos taken in Japan before deleting them shortly afterwards.
Because August 15 is Korea’s National Liberation Day—a holiday that commemorates Korea’s liberation from 35 years of occupation and colonial rule by Japan—Yeonjun then took to both Weverse and Instagram to apologize for posting his photos from Japan on that particular day.
Yeonjun’s full apology is as follows:
Hello. This is Yeonjun.
I showed carelessness by uploading the photos [in question] without respecting the historical meaning and significance of National Liberation Day.
I would like to apologize to everyone who was hurt by my inappropriate actions. I will reflect on my shortcomings and be even more careful in the future so that this kind of incident does not occur again.
Once again, I would like to say I’m sorry to everyone.
