“Vincenzo” actor Song Joong Ki is confirmed to have had a close contact with a COVID-19 positive.
On July 2, according to a media report, Song Joong Ki had an encounter with his acquaintance who is confirmed with the virus, the Korean superstar immediately got tested.

Song Joong Ki Tests Negative for COVID-19, Currently in Self-Quarantine
Fortunately, Song Joong Ki’s COVID-19 result is negative. Nevertheless, the “Descendants of the Sun” went two-week self-quarantine. He was classified as a close contact of a confirmed case on July 1 and is currently in isolation.
After the news broke out, Song Joong Ki’s agency History D&C released their official statement regarding their artist.
“On June 30, a colleague of actor Song Joong Ki was confirmed to be positive for the virus, he immediately canceled all his schedule and followed the pre-emptive testing.
Even though he had negative results, Song Joong Ki was classified as a close contact and was ordered to have self-quarantine. We will postpone all his scheduled activities and continue to follow the safety protocols given by the authorities.
We ask for your understanding for causing concern to many. We will do our best effort to follow all the guidelines from the disease prevention authorities.”

Song Joong Ki Movie “Bogota” Halts Filming
Due to the unexpected event, a representative from the movie “Bogota” has also released a statement, stating that they will pause their filming schedule.
According to the official, after the production team became aware of the actor’s condition, they decided not to proceed to film on the same day for safety reasons.
The representative added, “All the members of the production team are being tested for COVID-19. The health and safety of actors and all the staff are maintained.”
To prevent the spread of the virus, the representative confirmed that they would postpone their filming schedules until further notice.
“Bogota” film production just resumed its filming in South Korea last June 21. Originally, the movie shoot will take place in Colombia, but due to travel restrictions, the team decided to continue the production in Korea.
