“The Roundup: Punishment” has soared past 8 million moviegoers at breakneck speed!
On May 6, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 8 a.m. KST that morning, “The Roundup: Punishment” had officially surpassed a total of 8 million moviegoers. The film was originally released on April 24, meaning that it took less than 13 days to reach the milestone.
Not only is “The Roundup: Punishment” the fastest movie to hit the 8 million mark this year, but it is also now the fastest film in the entire “The Outlaws” series to reach the milestone—beating the previous installment (“The Roundup: No Way Out”) by one day.
“The Roundup: Punishment” also managed to surpass 8 million moviegoers five days faster than “The Roundup,” which currently holds the record for the most successful film in the “The Outlaws” series.
To celebrate this latest achievement, the cast of “The Roundup: Punishment” gathered to film a playful video thanking audiences for showing their movie so much love. Check it out below!
