Netflix has officially released the second main poster and trailer for the highly anticipated Squid Game Season 2, promising more intense drama and nail-biting suspense.

Squid Game Season 2 follows Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), who returns to the deadly games seeking revenge. Awaiting him is the enigmatic Front Man (Lee Byung Hun), as the two engage in a fierce battle of wits and wills.

The newly revealed poster features participants running forward, with Gi Hun leading the pack, signaling the beginning of the next chapter of the games.

The main trailer opens with new characters receiving game invitations marked with the signature ○△□ symbols. Among them, the return of Jun Ho (Wi Ha Jun), adds a new layer of intrigue as he discovers one of the invitations. Meanwhile, Gi Hun is seen stepping into a mysterious limousine, only to hear the chilling voice of the Front Man once again. “Put me back in the game,” Gi Hun declares, willingly re-entering the brutal arena he barely escaped as the sole survivor last season.

As the trailer unfolds, glimpses of desperate contestants staring up at the accumulating prize money ignite curiosity about the personal stakes driving each participant. A tense OX voting sequence on whether the games should continue hints at rising chaos and conflict among the players. The stakes are raised with two contrasting philosophies colliding: “I’m trying to put an end to this game,” Gi Hun asserts, while the Front Man ominously counters, “The game will not end unless the world changes.”

The participants face alternating moments of triumph and despair, all under the watchful eyes of the Front Man and the pink-clad guards who escalate the brutality of the challenges. The Front Man’s chilling words, “Player 456. Welcome back to the game,” mark Gi Hun’s official return, teasing an explosive showdown between the two.

Squid Game Season 2 premieres globally on Netflix on December 26th.
