Hwarang has parted ways with TEMPEST.
On August 11, TEMPEST’s agency Yuehua Entertainment released the following statement:
Hello, this is Yuehua Entertainment.
We would like to adress the future activities of TEMPEST and Hwarang.
We engaged in deep discussions with Hwarang regarding his future activities and career. After careful consideration, we mutually agreed to conclude Hwarang’s activities as a member of TEMPEST and to terminate his exclusive contract.
We sincerely express our gratitude to all the fans who supported Hwarang until now. We ask for lots of support for the future activities of Hwarang who is preparing to embark on a new journey, and we will also sincerely support Hwarang in his future endeavors.
We will respond strongly against the circulation of false information and speculation about our artists. Furthermore, please show lots of interest and love for TEMPEST, who will be greeting fans through “Road to Kingdom.”

Earlier in March, Yuehua Entertainment announced that Hwarang will be tentatively halting his activities after releasing a separate statement regarding rumors about his private life. At the time, a clip of Hwarang during a video call fan sign was circulated online in which he answered a fan’s question about seeing him at a club. In his reply, Hwarang explained that he didn’t do anything bad and that he had went for the music.
Currently, TEMPEST is gearing up to participate on “Road to Kingdom : ACE OF ACE.”
