Suzy may be starring in a new drama!
On July 30, a media outlet reported that Suzy is starring in the new mystery thriller drama “Delusion” (literal title).
In response to the report, Suzy’s agency Management SOOP stated, “It is true that Suzy received an offer to star in ‘Delusion’ and is currently reviewing the offer.”
Based on a webtoon, “Delusion” is a mystery thriller set in 1935 Gyeongseong and 1800s Shanghai that tells the story of what happens to artist Yun Yi Ho, who is commissioned to paint a portrait of the mysterious woman Song Jung Hwa and visits her hotel. Director Han Jae Rim of the films “The Show Must Go On,” “The King,” and “Emergency Declaration” is in charge of production.
According to the report, Suzy was the first actress to receive a casting offer in the planning stage of “Delusion,” but at the time, her casting was canceled due to scheduling conflicts. As the production period for “Delusion” was adjusted, Suzy once again received a casting offer reportedly to play the role of Song Jung Hwa, a mysterious vampire woman.
Previously in March, it was revealed that Han So Hee and Ryu Jun Yeol received casting offers to star in “Delusion.” The following month, both actors announced that they discontinued their discussions to star in the new production following the breakout of their breakup news.
