The upcoming comedy film “Forbidden Fairytale” has teased the bold transformation of Sung Dong Il!
With a star-studded cast led by Park Ji Hyun, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, and Sung Dong Il, “Forbidden Fairytale” follows Dan Bi, a woman who dreams of becoming a fairy tale writer but works as a public official cracking down on obscene content. When circumstances force her to write R-rated web novels, she unexpectedly discovers a hidden talent for explicit storytelling.
Sung Dong Il portrays Hwang Chang Seop, the CEO of an R-rated web novel publishing company. As the godfather in the industry, Hwang Chang Seop is on the hunt for a star writer when he encounters Dan Bi, an aspiring fairy tale writer who accidentally damages his cherished classic car. To cover the repair costs, he offers her a unique deal: write R-rated web novels under his guidance. Together, they unlock Dan Bi’s hidden talent, leading to hilariously unpredictable moments.
Co-star Park Ji Hyun expressed her admiration for Sung Dong Il, stating, “Even after his scenes ended, the director wouldn’t immediately call ‘cut’ because Sung Dong Il is like a god of improvisation.” Director Lee Jong Seok added to the praise, stating, “He’s professional and has a perfect understanding of his character. I learned so much from working with him on this project.”
“Forbidden Fairytale” is set to hit theaters on January 8, 2025.
