At a press conference and media screening held on the afternoon of June 17, director Lee Jong Pil shared his thoughts on the casting and roles of actors making special appearances in his upcoming film “Escape ”, including Song Kang.
Lee Jong Pil mentioned that he felt slightly guilty about asking Esom to make a special appearance. However, she agreed without hesitation, asking him, “What are you doing right now?” » He expressed his gratitude, adding, “I am grateful that she filmed with us. »
When talking about Song Kang’s role, Lee explained, “By borrowing Koo Kyo Hwan’s words, Song Kang’s character Sun Woo Min plays a role similar to that of Tinker Bell. It reveals Hyun Sang’s (Koo Kyo Hwan’s character) past desires and inner feelings. At first I thought it would be conventional to cast a woman in this role, but I realized it wouldn’t be as interesting. I wanted something short but punchy, so I decided to go with Song Kang. »
With the help of Kim Jong Do, CEO of Namoo Actors (the same agency as Koo Kyo Hwan), they managed to recruit Song Kang. Lee Jong Pil described the collaboration as enjoyable and expressed his admiration for Song Kang during filming.
Koo Kyo Hwan also expressed his gratitude, saying, “When I learned that Song Kang would be my partner, I was delighted. There is no one who can show so much emotion in such a short time like Song Kang. »
