Upcoming film “One Win” starring Song Kang Ho and Park Jung Min has confirmed its release month in a new poster!
“One Win” follows a women’s professional volleyball team that has never won a game. The story features a coach who has never tasted victory, an owner uninterested in winning, and players unsure of how to succeed. Despite their challenges, the team is determined to achieve just one win.
The first poster showcases a bouncing volleyball in front of the “One Win” Korean title with a smiling Kim Woo Jin (Song Kang Ho) at the forefront. The vibrant energy of the volleyball court is depicted through images of players in action, and the tagline, “Let’s win just once,” piques interest in the team’s quest for victory, rather than aiming for first place.
Renowned actor Song Kang Ho, known for his roles in “Parasite,” “A Taxi Driver,” and “The Attorney,” has greatly influenced Korean cinema. He is the first South Korean actor to win the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival. In the film, he plays Kim Woo Jin, a volleyball coach known for his failures, showcasing his charming and relatable personality.
Rising star Park Jung Min, known for his strong performances in “Smugglers,” “The 8 Show,” and “Deliver Us from Evil,” plays Kang Jung Won, an attention-seeking team owner who promises a remarkable prize of 2 billion won (approximately $1.5 million) if his team wins.
Joining them is Jang Yoon Joo, recognized for her unique appeal in the “Veteran” series, “Queen of Tears,” “Citizen of a Kind,” and “Three Sisters.” She plays Bang Soo Ji, a volleyball player who has spent 20 years on the bench. She and Song Kang Ho are expected to deliver a comedic dynamic that promises plenty of laughs.
Director Shin Yeon Sik, known for winning several screenplay awards for “Dongju: The Portrait of a Poet,” heightens anticipation for this project by handling both the screenplay and direction. He has also directed, written, and produced projects such as “Uncle Samsik,” “Cassiopeia,” “Rough Play,” and “The Fair Love.”
