Song Joong Ki revealed a softer side during promotions for his upcoming film Bogota: City of the Lost (aka Bogota), sharing intimate details about life with his daughter born just last month.
During a press interview for the film at a café in Seoul’s Samcheong-dong on December 23, Song’s conversation naturally drifted to his month-old daughter. “When I first held her, she fell into my arms differently than a boy would,” Song shared, his face lighting up. “That feeling is unforgettable. She’s growing up healthy now, and my wife has also recovered well after giving birth.”
The actor, currently juggling promotional duties with drama filming, revealed his wife hasn’t yet seen his latest film Bogota. “My wife has been very supportive while I’m busy with promotions and drama filming. With the baby’s arrival, I feel an increased sense of responsibility,” he explained.
The proud father couldn’t resist showing photos of his daughter, saying with a smile, “Isn’t she just beautiful? This is what happens when you have a baby. I’m being silly, aren’t I? I’m sorry.”
Song’s latest project Bogota follows the story of Guk Hee (Song Joong Ki), who travels to Bogota, Colombia, in search of new opportunities following the IMF crisis. The actor takes on the challenging role of portraying Guk Hee’s evolution from his teens through his thirties, showcasing the character’s journey from age 19 when he first arrives in Bogota with his family.
