The highly anticipated year-end film “Bogota: City of the Lost” has unveiled its main poster featuring a powerful ensemble cast!
Directed by Kim Sung Je, “Bogota: City of the Lost” is a crime thriller that tells the story of Guk Hee (Song Joong Ki), who, in the wake of the IMF crisis, heads to Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, with new hopes. There, he becomes entangled with Soo Young (Lee Hee Joon), a customs broker, and Sergeant Park (Kwon Hae Hyo), a key figure in the Korean community in Bogotá.
The newly released main poster captures the intense conflicts of those struggling to survive in the unfamiliar land of Bogotá, Colombia. The poster is particularly striking with its sepia tones reminiscent of a South American sunset, combined with the powerful visuals of the main characters. It features Guk Hee, who has left for Colombia with his family after the IMF crisis and is determined to survive at all costs; Soo Young, the second-in-command of the Korean smuggling market; Sergeant Park, the absolute power in the Korean community in Bogotá; Manager Park (Park Ji Hwan), Sergeant Park’s nephew who dominates the Korean community; Jae Woong (Cho Hyun Chul), Soo Young’s junior who keeps Guk Hee in check; and Geun Tae (Kim Jong Soo), Guk Hee’s father who brought his family to Colombia but struggles to settle down. The tagline, “A life without hope, the opportunity was there,” accompanies the poster, with each character’s sharp expression and gaze in different directions, piquing curiosity about the intense dynamics that will unfold.
In contrast to the sepia-toned poster, the second poster features a blue tone and immediately draws attention to the young Guk Hee covered in blood. The characters etched within the letters of “BOGOTA” create a unique atmosphere, almost like a piece of artwork. Additionally, the tagline, “I must survive and reach the top,” amplifies the anticipation for the tumultuous events that will unfold as Guk Hee becomes entangled with the dangerous figures of the Korean community in Bogotá.
“Bogota: City of the Lost” is set hit theaters on December 31. Stay tuned!
