Upcoming film “Bogota: City of the Lost” has dropped more stills ahead of its premiere!
Directed by Kim Sung Je, “Bogota: City of the Lost” is a crime thriller that tells the story of Guk Hee (Song Joong Ki), who, in the wake of the IMF crisis, heads to Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, with new hopes. There, he becomes entangled with Soo Young (Lee Hee Joon), a customs broker, and Sergeant Park (Kwon Hae Hyo), a key figure in the Korean community in Bogotá.
The newly released stills capture the struggles of characters trying to settle in unfamiliar lands after leaving Korea. One image shows Guk Hee and his father Geun Tae (Kim Jong Soo) arriving in Bogotá after the crisis, hoping for new opportunities. They follow Sergeant Park, the most powerful figure in the local Korean community. Another still features Guk Hee in the driver’s seat of a truck, looking out the window as part of Sergeant Park’s smuggling operation, raising questions about how he will survive in Bogotá.
Set against the exotic backdrop of a Colombian city, Guk Hee and Soo Young are seen relaxing, while Sergeant Park and his nephew, Manager Park (Park Ji Hwan), appear deep in thought. Their contrasting expressions stir curiosity about the complex relationships between the characters.
Also notable are scenes of Soo Young and his juniors in colorful padded jackets and shorts, and a group of Koreans gathered at Sergeant Park’s party, engaging in an intriguing conversation led by Jae Woong (Cho Hyun Chul). These moments build anticipation for the dramatic events to come in Bogotá, where trust and suspicion constantly blur the lines.
In other stills, Guk Hee looks determined as he gazes into the distance, while Soo Young appears defeated, staring at the Bogotá police blocking his path. Their contrasting expressions suggest the challenges ahead and heighten excitement for an unpredictable story. The actors’ powerful performances are sure to draw viewers in and heat up the year-end box office.
“Bogota: City of the Lost” is set hit theaters on December 31. Stay tuned!
