Upcoming film “Bogota: City of the Lost” has teased new stills!
Directed by Kim Sung Je, “Bogota: City of the Lost” is a crime thriller that tells the story of Guk Hee (Song Joong Ki), who, in the wake of the IMF crisis, heads to Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, with new hopes. There, he becomes entangled with Soo Young (Lee Hee Joon), a customs broker, and Sergeant Park (Kwon Hae Hyo), a key figure in the Korean community in Bogotá.
The newly released stills capture the multi-layered relationships of the characters, who may appear as close comrades from a distance but are intricately entangled like a spider’s web.
First, Guk Hee, who has come to Bogotá to grasp his last remaining hope in life, struggles to gain trust of Sergeant Park, a key to success. While Sergeant Park recognizes Guk Hee’s perseverance, his wary eyes suggest he does not fully trust him, heightening curiosity about their relationship.
In another set of stills, Soo Young, who notices Guk Hee’s determination to risk his life for anything, makes a dangerous proposal to him. Soo Young’s seemingly friendly actions towards Guk Hee make viewers anticipate what hidden intentions he might have.
Sergeant Park, the powerhouse of the smuggling market, and his second-in-command, Soo Young, sometimes share friendly smiles but also exhibit contrasting wariness towards each other, creating tension. The unpredictable suspense surrounding the three characters’ different psychological battles over Guk Hee and the choices he makes promises dramatic excitement.
“Bogota: City of the Lost” is set to hit theaters on December 31. Stay tuned!
