Son Ye Jin candidly revealed the moment she decided to marry Hyun Bin during a Mega Talk session at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival on the 6th.
When asked about her decision to marry Hyun Bin, the questioner noted, “Son Ye Jin is the actress people most want to see in person, and Hyun Bin is the same for actors. I thought it was such a blessing that you two were tying the knot. After working together on two projects, when did you realize you wanted to spend your life with Hyun Bin?”
“This question is very refreshing,” Son Ye Jin laughed and responded. “Actors meet many co-stars in numerous projects, and some end up dating or getting married. But I never really preferred that.”
She cautiously continued, “But people kept saying we looked alike. I never thought that, but hearing it from others made me start to see it. Working together on two projects, I found myself very drawn to his character.”
After a moment of thought, she described Hyun Bin as, “Someone who is very upright and rational, almost like a scholar from the old days.” She went on, “He doesn’t sugarcoat things or package himself in any way; he’s very straightforward and honest. Plus, he’s good-looking,” causing laughter.
Son Ye Jin concluded, “That was a big part of it. He felt very reliable,” explaining why she chose Hyun Bin as her life partner.
