JTBC’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama “Romance in the House” has unveiled its poster!
“Romance in the House” tells the story of people who feel their lives are incomplete gathering together as a family and dreaming of a complete love. The drama is penned by Kim Young Yoon of “My Secret Romance” and directed by Kim Da Ye of “My ID Is Gangnam Beauty.”
The newly released poster captures Byun Moo Jin (Ji Jin Hee) returning to his family as a building owner, only to find a cold reception from his wife Geum Ae Yeon (Kim Ji Soo) and daughter Byun Mi Rae (Son Naeun). In the image, Byun Moo Jin holds a bouquet of flowers and smirks, apparently showcasing his newfound wealth and anticipating a warm welcome. However, Byun Mi Rae stands on the other side of the wall, arms crossed with a dissatisfied expression, clearly not ready to welcome her father back.
This tense family dynamic stems from Moo Jin’s past greedy pursuits of money and a series of failed business attempts, which even resulted in the loss of their hard-earned restaurant. After their father left, Ae Yeon and Mi Rae relied on each other for support, becoming each other’s pillars of strength.
However, their peaceful lives are disrupted upon Moo Jin’s unexpected return. His comeback triggers a series of events that stir up the neighborhood gossip. Now labeled as “Mr. Byun’s family,” Ae Yeon and Mi Rae find themselves embroiled in the gossip, which makes it even harder for them to reconcile with their alienated father and husband.
While Mi Rae is determined to protect her mother from being drawn back into her ex-husband’s life, it remains to be seen whether the family can resolve their past and finally come together.
“Romance in the House” is set to premiere on August 10 at 10:30 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Miss Night and Day.”
