2PM’s Chansung dropped a bombshell news on his Instagram. The “So I Married an Anti-Fan” actor stunned fans with his revelation about his upcoming marriage, pregnancy of his fiancee, and plans to leave his agency, JYP Entertainment.
2PM’s Chansung Announces Marriage and Becoming a First-Time Dad
In a lengthy handwritten statement, the singer-actor revealed his plans for the coming year as well as changes in his career.
In 2PM Chansung’s Instagram, the “Make It” singer recalled how he started his career when he was just 17 years old.
After more than a decade, he mentioned that a lot of things have changed and memories to remember.
“Today, I am telling you about changes and happiness in my life,” he added.
The 31-year-old star then continues to share his relationship with his longtime girlfriend, which he described as a person who “has been the resting place for my unstable heart and a friend with whom I can share anything for a long time.”
The “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” star dropped the surprising news and said they are now planning to settle down in the first quarter of 2022.
“While preparing and planning marriage with this person after my military discharge, the blessing of a new life came to us earlier than expected, and we are planning to get married as early as the beginning of next year. We are very cautious as she is in the early stage of her pregnancy, but I am sharing this news as I thought that I should tell you first,” he explained.
Moreover, the K-pop star also asked the fans to support and respect his and his fiancee’s privacy.
“My partner on this road to creating a new family does not have the same job as me, so I ask for your generous understanding for not revealing her.”
To recall, the actor started his mandatory military enlistment on June 11, 2019, and served as an army sergeant.
On December 13, he took his last vacation as a soldier and is set to be officially discharged in January 2022.

Apart from the baby news and engagement, the singer-actor also shared his plans to leave JYP Entertainment.
He has decided not to renew his contract, which will expire in January 2022, after being with the label for 15 years, adding that it was a mutual decision.
“The decision was made through communication with my future as the priority, and the company willingly gave blessings for my bright future,” he said.
In addition, he promised that he would still show support to the label.
As for his plans for his career, “nothing has been decided yet,” but assured fans that he will share plans in the future.
