Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications!
In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification.
This month, SEVENTEEN earned two separate Circle certifications for their best-of album “17 IS RIGHT HERE.” The regular version of the album received a triple million certification for over 3 million copies sold, while the Weverse version was certified platinum for selling over 250,000 copies.
The KiT version of SEVENTEEN’s 2023 mini album “SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN” also earned a platinum certification for over 250,000 copies sold.
ATEEZ’s “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.1,” aespa’s “Armageddon,” and IVE’s “IVE SWITCH” all received official million certifications for selling over 1 million copies each.
ZEROBASEONE earned two separate Circle certifications for their latest mini album “You had me at HELLO.” The regular version of the mini album was certified triple platinum for over selling over 750,000 copies, while the POCA version was certified platinum for over 250,000 copies sold.
NewJeans’ “How Sweet” and BLACKPINK’s 2019 mini album “Kill This Love” were also both certified triple platinum after selling over 750,000 copies each.
Meanwhile, BTS’s RM’s recent solo album “Right Place, Wrong Person” was certified double platinum for over 500,000 copies sold.
ENHYPEN’s “DARK MOON” special album “MEMORABILIA,” the POCA version of PLAVE’s “ASTERUM : 134-1,” and BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s solo debut single album “SOLO” were all certified platinum for selling over 250,000 copies each.
Over in the streaming category, aespa earned two different certifications this month: “Next Level” was certified double platinum for surpassing 200 million streams, while “Savage” went platinum after reaching 100 million streams.
GyeongseoYeji and Jeon Gunho’s hit song “If you lovingly call my name” was also certified double platinum for reaching 200 million streams.
Finally, (G)I-DLE’s “Queencard,” Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon’s “INVU,” 10cm’s “Gradation,” #An Nyeong’s “haeyo,” and Juho’s “without me”were all certified platinum after surpassing 100 million streams each.
