Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop’s “Serendipity’s Embrace” has swept Viki rankings!
According to global OTT (over-the-top) platform Rakuten Viki, the 8-episode romance drama “Serendipity’s Embrace” placed No. 1 in viewership in a total of 125 regions during its fourth week of broadcast when the series finale aired. In particular, the drama ranked No. 1 for four consecutive weeks in 68 countries including Canada, Mexico, France, and more.
Based on a popular webtoon, “Serendipity’s Embrace” tells the story of young people finding true love and fulfilling their dreams after accidentally running into their first love from 10 years ago. Kim So Hyun stars as Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love due to painful memories from her previous relationship—and who undergoes an unexpected change after running into Kang Hoo Young (Chae Jong Hyeop), who witnessed some of her lowest moments from her past.
