Seo Kang Joon will return to the small screen with a new comedy action drama!
On June 10, MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Undercover High School” (working title) confirmed that Seo Kang Joon will star in the drama.
“Undercover High School” is a comedy action drama about a man who goes undercover as a high school student while hiding his identity as an agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS). As he navigates school life, he builds solidarity and bonds with his classmates. The drama is penned by Im Young Bin of “Bad Prosecutor” and marks Seo Kang Joon’s first return project after being discharged from the military in May of last year.
Seo Kang Joon takes on the role of Jung Hae Sung, an ace field agent of NIS who gets demoted after causing a major issue during an operation. In a new operation, Jung Hae Sung disguises himself as a high school student to infiltrate a high school that has relation to Emperor Gojong’s gold bullion, and there, he ends up enjoying a high school life like no other.
Jin Ki Joo and Kim Min Ju are reportedly in talks to star in the drama. “Undercover High School” is scheduled to air on MBC as a Friday-Saturday drama in 2025.
