Following the success of Hellbound, Netflix has once again partnered with director Yeon Sang Ho and writer Choi Gyu Seok to adapt another hard-hitting comic, Revelations.

This gripping film centers on a pastor and a detective, each driven by their own convictions. Pastor Min Chan, portrayed by The 8 Show star Ryu Jun Yeol, runs a church in a small provincial town. When a man named Yang Rae visits his church, he receives a divine revelation identifying Yang Rae as the culprit who abducted his son, setting him on a path of justice. Shin Hyun Bin, known for her roles in Hospital Playlist and Reborn Rich, stars as the detective investigating Yang Rae and the suspicious pastor Min Chan. Haunted by visions of her sister, who died due to a heinous crime, Yeon Hee relentlessly pursues the suspect, adding tension to the narrative.

Known for their novel exploration of life and death in Hellbound, Yeon and Choi are set to captivate audiences once more. Yeon’s direction will challenge viewers to consider the intersections of religion and humanity, while Choi brings his signature storytelling style.

Adding to the excitement, acclaimed director Alfonso Cuarón, known for Gravity and Roma, joins as an executive producer. “Alfonso Cuarón, known for masterpieces like ‘Children of Men’ and ‘Gravity,’ has greatly influenced my work as a director,” says Yeon. “I am thrilled at this opportunity to collaborate with him on shaping Revelations, and I have high expectations for our partnership.”

Produced by WOW POINT, Revelations promises to be another thrilling addition to their portfolio, which includes The Bequeathed and Parasyte: The Grey. According to WOW POINT, “With two globally renowned creators coming together, we sincerely hope that ‘Revelations’ will thrill audiences worldwide.”
