On October 3rd, the 2024 Buil Film Awards were held at the Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan, with actors Kim Dong Wook and Go Ah Sung hosting the event. The night was filled with celebration as Revolver took home three awards, including Best Film, while Song Joong Ki achieved a major win with Best Supporting Actor for Hopeless.
Among the notable speeches, Best Supporting Actress winner Lim Ji Yeon expressed her admiration for her Revolver co-star Jeon Do Yeon, saying, “I was a student fan who wanted to be just like you, and now I can say I’ve succeeded, standing beside you on set. I’ll work even harder.” Jung Woo Sung, who won his first Buil Film Award with 12.12: The Day, shared, “This award feels too heavy to hold alone. I want to thank Hwang Jung Min for lighting up the screen alongside me.”
Krystal, honored with Best New Actress for Cobweb, expressed her gratitude, calling the film a “gift.” She added, “I want to thank Director Kim Ji Woon for giving me the opportunity to have such a special experience through this film. I promise to show even more growth in my next project.”
Song Joong Ki, who won Best Supporting Actor for Hopeless, also shared his thanks, saying, “I’m sincerely grateful to the director. I’d also like to thank the person who suggested I read the scripts when I felt like life was just going in circles. More thanks to Hong Xa Bin and BIBI. I’ll hold onto this award with a heart full of gratitude. Lastly, I want to thank my beloved family.”
