[+354, -41] There is such a variety of ways for parents to ruin the future of their own children
[+298, -44] Honestly, Jimin’s father is too much;; I don’t think he’s being opportunitistic, I think he’s always been too much and people are finally starting to take notice. I’ve never seen another celebrity with a father like this.
[+137, -162] The media is obviously taking their jabs at BTS now that Suga has his drunk driving scandal
– [+55, -27] Do you seriously see this father’s actions as being normal then?
[+85, -35] Sometimes your parents are your biggest enemy
[+81, -103] Look at our country trying to tear down a group that’s a natural treasure, a group we’ll probably never be able to produce again..
[+36, -23] I mean, this is pretty excessive, though, why is the father holding his own fan meets ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ does his son not give him money or something? ㅋㅋ I went to his Instagram and he’s basically selling his own BTS merch too ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ a hand fan for 40,000 won hul
[+34, -20] Let me get the facts straight here: That picture isn’t of Jimin’s father hold his own fan signing. During BTS’s Busan concert, fans started lining up outside of Jimin’s father’s Busan cafe, and the line got so long that nobody was getting in so he felt sorry and set up another table outside to greet the fans (the picture was taken by a grateful fan expressing her thanks). I think this article is blowing up the fan signing like it was something intentional the father is doing.
[+30, -17] Journalist-nim, Jimin’s father has always had his cafe and has been expanding the fan merch business lately by keeping up with the trends. Obviously it’s off the rising popularity of Jimin but he’s also contributing to his community with charity and volunteer work as well. If this is a problem, then why aren’t BTS’s other family members “controversial” too like RM’s dongsaeng who opened a cafe?
[+24, -18] Jimin’s father has never “sold out” Jimin. The fan signing stuff was because so many fans had come to see him the cafe that they were even willing to get the father’s autograph instead. And the fan merch was designed by his own cafe. If this is all considered “too much” and “using BTS” then what about all those restaurants that have BTS’s pictures up on their walls for visiting? What is your intention behind this article?
[+23, -16] Is the reporter a BTS anti?
[+21, -16] Jimin’s father has donated under Jimin’s name so much money… if anything, I bet the donations made in all of BTS, Jimin has the most in not only amount but variety as well. Though I don’t really understand why fans would want his father’s autograph either;;
[+20, -11] That autograph picture is from the Busan concert ㅋㅋ not a “fan signing”. Armies were lined up outside his cafe during the Busan con so Jimin’s father went out and handed out drinks, and when fans swarmed him for his autograph, it got dangerous so he made them get in a safer line outside by his chair.
[+17, -13] Even regular coffee shops have their own merch for hefty prices~~ what’s the problem here
[+15, -10] Even aside from Jimin’s father, most of the family members of BTS own their own businesses, and you obviously can’t ignore the light that the BTS name shines on them. That doesn’t make it wrong for the families to have their own businesses. By making it seem “controversial” like this, it only seems like the media is trying to kill off BTS.
[+14, -13] Antis sure must’ve had a field day reporting this to the media ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ not sure why they care so much how fans choose to spend their own money
[+10, -4] For how famous BTS is, I’d say their family members are more private than you’d think… there are tons of cafes that make and sell their own merch. And yeah, the fan signing picture is kinda funny but if fans want his autograph, who’s stopping them…
