Park Min Young may be starring in a new drama!
On July 23, industry insiders reported that Park Min Young will star as the main character in the Korean adaptation of the Japanese drama “The Confidence Man JP.”
In response to the report, Park Min Young’s agency Hook Entertainment shared that the actress is currently reviewing her offer to star in the drama “The Confidence Man KR” (working title).
“The Confidence Man JP” is a comedy drama about three credit fraudsters called Confidence Man, who form a team to steal money from greedy people and evil companies or mafia, using any means possible. The drama aired from April 2018 via Fuji TV, garnering such great popularity that it was made into a movie and also a special feature broadcast for Fuji TV’s 60th anniversary.
The Korean adaptation “The Confidence Man KR” will be directed by Nam Ki Hoon of “Big Bet” and “Destined With You” as well as scriptwriter Hong Seung Hyun of “Criminal Minds” and “Cheo Yong.”
Earlier this year, Park Min Young played the role of Kang Ji Won in “Marry My Husband,” which ended on its highest viewership rating of 12.0 percent, setting a new record for tvN’s highest ever viewership rating for a Monday-Tuesday drama.
