KBS2’s “Perfect Family” has shared a new mysterious family poster!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Perfect Family” is a mystery drama where a seemingly happy and perfect family begins to suspect each other when their daughter becomes entangled in a murder. “Perfect Family” is directed by the acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Isao Yukisada, marking his debut in Korean drama.
Kim Byung Chul and Yoon Se Ah play the roles of married couple Choi Jin Hyuk and Ha Eun Joo, with Park Ju Hyun as their adopted daughter Choi Sun Hee. The poster’s triangular arrangement is striking, with Sun Hee resting one hand on Jin Hyuk’s shoulder and holding Eun Joo’s hand with the other. This setup evokes the parents’ protective instincts and Sun Hee’s reliance on them.
In the family photo, Jin Hyuk, the dependable father with a tough demeanor and a soft heart, and Eun Joo, the devoted mother with deep maternal instincts, both have stern expressions. Their daughter Sun Hee, a perennial model student who excels at everything, wears a faint smile. The contrast in their expressions is intriguing.
The tagline, “Love, responsibility, sacrifice, warmth… Thus, family again,” reflects their sincere effort to create a perfect family. In contrast, the dark background with the chilling, burning fire adds an eerie mystery, heightening the tension and stimulating the senses.
The production team said, “We aimed to capture the mixed atmosphere of warmth and coldness among the three family members in the poster. It will be interesting to imagine the hidden message within.” They added, “Through the show, we hope viewers will grasp the true meaning of family as portrayed by Kim Byung Chul, Yoon Se Ah, and Park Ju Hyun.”
“Perfect Family” will premiere on August 14 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
