Upcoming film “Fairy Tale, But Rated R” (literal translation) has unveiled its character posters!

With a star-studded cast led by Park Ji Hyun, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, and Sung Dong Il, “Fairy Tale, But Rated R” follows Dan Bi, a woman who dreams of becoming a fairy tale writer but works as an adult content censor. When circumstances force her to write R-rated web novels, she unexpectedly discovers a hidden talent for explicit storytelling.

The newly released posters showcase Dan Bi (Park Ji Hyun), Jung Seok (Choi Siwon), and CEO Hwang (Sung Dong Il) in looks reminiscent of classic fairy tale characters—a princess, prince, and king. The posters stand out with a bold, ironic twist, presenting a fairy tale intended for a mature audience.

Park Ji Hyun makes a striking impression, holding an apple with a captivating expression. The tagline, “Swallow it! Dangerous imagination,” sparks curiosity about the daring ideas that Dan Bi—a rookie on the adult content control team who once dreamed of being a fairy tale writer—will explore as she writes an R-rated web novel. The line, “Why is my writing talent showing up in a place like this?” adds humor, hinting at Dan Bi’s unexpected discovery of her talent for adult content.

Choi Siwon grabs attention with a determined look, holding a sword. The tagline, “Stand up! Your inner instincts,” hints at Jung Seok’s transformation. It raises questions about how Jung Seok, a government worker weary of his job in adult content control, will regain his energy after meeting Dan Bi. Jung Seok’s line, “Let’s follow where your heart leads,” adds to the excitement, building anticipation for the chemistry between Choi Siwon and Park Ji Hyun as mentor and junior.

Finally, Sung Dong Il makes an impression sitting on a throne, wearing a crown, and declaring, “Seize it! Life’s opportunity.” This reflects CEO Hwang’s determination to seize a chance in the adult web novel industry. His line, “Throw away the prejudice of what’s acceptable and what’s not,” highlights his pride and open-minded approach to R-rated web novels. It sets the stage for Dan Bi’s journey as she becomes involved with CEO Hwang and begins writing adult web novels.

“Fairy Tale, But Rated R” is set to hit theaters on January 8 next year.
