The Namyangju Southern Police Station announced today that they received the final autopsy report from the National Forensic Service that singer Park Bo Ram’s death was likely caused by acute alcohol poisoning.

The report also indicated that Park Bo Ram was battling pre-existing health conditions like fatty liver and cirrhosis. No other possible causes of death were found besides acute alcohol poisoning.

Park Bo Ram was found unconscious at the home of an acquaintance in Namyangju City on November 11th at 9:55 PM. She was rushed to the hospital but passed away an hour after her arrival. It is reported that Park Bo Ram had a bottle of soju with two female acquaintances. When her friends became concerned after she went to the bathroom and did not return, they found her collapsed and unconscious.

Authorities received an initial undetermined cause of death following an autopsy conducted on November 15th. Since then, police had been waiting for the results of further examinations, which have now confirmed how she died.

Park Bo-ram rose to fame in 2010 as a contestant on Mnet’s Superstar K2 audition program. She officially debuted in 2014 with the song “Pretty” and remained active in the music industry throughout her career.
