Park Bo Ram’s autopsy results are out.
Park Bo Ram’s label, XANADU Entertainment, released a statement today regarding the cause of her passing. An autopsy was conducted this morning to determine the exact cause of death.
“There were no signs of murder or attempted suicide,” XANADU Entertainment said. “The full results will be shared with the bereaved family at a later date.”
The agency also shared details regarding Park Bo Ram’s funeral arrangements. “The funeral will be held for her today at 3:00 PM in Room 21 of the Seoul Asan Hospital Funeral Home. The burial will take place at 6:00 AM on April 17th at the Seoul Memorial Park.”
XANADU Entertainment concluded their statement, saying, “We offer our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult time. We kindly ask that the public refrain from spreading rumors or speculation to allow the family to grieve in peace.”
Earlier reports detailed that the singer was found unconscious in the bathroom of an acquaintance’s house in Namyangju City at 9:55 PM on April 11th. Acquaintances said they checked after she did not come out of the bathroom and found her collapsed.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene after being notified by an acquaintance, but it was reported that she was already in cardiac arrest. She was transferred to a nearby hospital after receiving CPR, but she passed away at 11:17 PM that day.
Park Bo Ram rose to fame in 2010 through her participation in Mnet’s Superstar K2. She debuted with her song “Beautiful” in 2014 and continued to be a vibrant presence in the K-pop scene.
