Two years after the first season, “Pachinko” Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Apple TV Plus starting August 23, 2024. The network also revealed some captivating first photos from the K-drama, increasing the excitement around this one.
This English-Japanese-Korean series will feature eight captivating episodes, airing from August 23 to October 11. The first episode of the second season of “Pachinko” will air on the premiere date. New episodes will be released every Friday. Viewers can watch all eight episodes of the first season on Apple TV Plus before the new season begins.

For those who need a refresher, the first season of “Pachinko” introduced us to the Korean immigrant family across four generations, from the Japanese colonial period to the 1980s. The story spanned generations, exploring themes of war, love and the bonds that bind people across countries like Korea, Japan and the United States.
The second season of “Pachinko” will continue to adapt the novel by Min Jin Lee. It will focus on Sunja navigating through motherhood and life with resilience during World War II, and it will depict the development of her grandson, Solomon Baek, as he establishes new businesses with a Japanese businessman . The series’ complex narrative will continue to interweave storylines spanning an 80-year period, aiming to explore the characters’ growth and challenges.
