OnlyOneOf’s Rie has announced his plans to enlist in the military.
On January 7, 8D Entertainment announced that Rie would be enlisting on January 20 and would carry out his mandatory service as a member of the army band.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello. This is 8D Entertainment.
We sincerely thank the lyOn [OnlyOneof’s fans] who support and care for OnlyOneOf, and we are making an announcement regarding Rie’s military enlistment.
OnlyOneOf member Rie will enlist as an active-duty soldier on January 20 and plans to fulfill his military duty in the army band.
In order to minimize on-site confusion on the day of his enlistment, there will not be a separate event [for fans to send him off], and because many other soldiers and their families will also be there, we ask the fans to please refrain from coming.
We ask that lyOn give Rie lots of love and encouragement so that he can return in good health after carrying out his military duty.
