2PM’s Ok Taecyeon and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun are set to collaborate in the upcoming drama The First Night With the Duke (literal title), according to an exclusive report by Xportsnews on the 26th. The two stars are currently reviewing the offer positively.
The First Night With the Duke is a romance fantasy drama based on the popular web novel by Hwang DoTol, which also gained traction as a webtoon. The story follows a protagonist who, after being reincarnated as a minor character in a novel, inadvertently spends a night with the novel’s male lead. This unexpected twist leads to a thrilling romantic story filled with emotional push-and-pull between the main characters.
The drama adaptation will have a historical setting, incorporating elements from the Joseon Dynasty period.
Ok Taecyeon recently announced his role in the Japanese film Le Grand Maison Paris, a cinematic adaptation of the popular 2019 TBS drama Le Grand Maison Tokyo, which is set to premiere in Japan this winter. He is also starring in the upcoming Netflix series Soul Mate, slated for release in 2025, showcasing his active presence in the acting scene.
Seohyun has established herself as a leading actress through various projects, including the film Love and Leashes and dramas like Jinxed at First and Song of the Bandits. Fans are eagerly anticipating the new chemistry and charm the duo will bring to The First Night With the Duke.
