NewJeans has sent a certification of contents to their agency ADOR, and ADOR has issued a statement in response.
On November 13, it was reported that all five NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein sent a certification of contents to ADOR under their real names. In the letter, the members demanded ADOR to rectify all significant breaches of the exclusive contracts within 14 days from the receipt of this letter.
While the specific demands that the members want to be rectified have not been disclosed, the certificate of contents reportedly addresses the recent rumors about the families and relatives of the members. According to the report, it states that NewJeans has no connection to these baseless rumors and that they will take firm actions to those who spread false rumors. If further states that if the members’ demands for rectification are not accepted, they will terminate their exclusive contracts.
In addition to this report, a listed company in which NewJeans member Hyein’s uncle is working was recently rumored to be planning to recruit Min Hee Jin and had met with her to invest in NewJeans. Min Hee Jin stated that she has not met with any investors including those from the listed company in question.
In response to these reports, ADOR released the following statement:
Hello, this is ADOR.
Due to numerous inquiries from reporters, we would like to inform you of the following.
First, regarding the certification of contents, we received it this morning and are currently reviewing it to understand the specific requests. We will do our best to resolve the matter wisely so that we can continue to work with the artists.
Additionally, concerning inquiries about a listed company in question, we would like to inform you that Director Min Hee Jin has reiterated her position that the claims about her meeting with the company and any involvement of NewJeans members’ relatives are groundless.
