Netflix has revealed four main posters for its new thriller series, The Frog. This series stars Kim Yun Seok, Yoon Kye Sang, Go Min Si and Lee Jung Eun. The story takes place on a peaceful summer day that is abruptly disrupted by a mysterious guest, leading to a series of uncontrollable events.
The first posters feature Kim Yun Seok as Yeong Ha and Yoon Kye Sang as Sang Jun, with the caption: “A peaceful day.” In contrast, the second posters show Go Min Si as Seong Ah and Lee Jung Eun as Bo Min, with the caption: “An unwelcome guest has arrived.” These sentences highlight the complex relationships between the characters.
The difference between Yeong Ha’s poster, set in a sunny forest, and Seong Ah’s, in a cold, rainy forest, is striking. The story revolves around Yeong Ha, who runs a remote inn in the forest and faces unexpected chaos after welcoming the mysterious Seong Ah. For his part, Sang Jun, who runs a motel by a lake, is depicted with a lost expression, foreshadowing the troubles he encounters following the arrival of a mysterious guest. Bo Min, a former detective turned police chief, is shown observing the scene through a slightly ajar door, suggesting her role in solving the mystery.
Kim Yun Seok, returning to the drama after 17 years, describes the series: “Their ordinary lives are completely turned upside down when an unwanted guest suddenly appears. It’s a fascinating depiction of how everything changes, a rare story that hasn’t been explored much in Korea. »
Directed by Mo Wan Il, known for The World of the Married, The Frog will be broadcast exclusively on Netflix from August 23.
