Netflix Korea is enjoying global success across three genres, with multiple titles dominating the global Top 10 charts.

As of October 2nd, according to Netflix’s Top 10 website, Culinary Class Wars recorded an impressive 4.9 million views from September 23rd to 29th. Ranking No. 1 in four countries, including South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, and landing in the Top 10 across 28 countries, the series has remained in the Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) category for two consecutive weeks since its release on September 17th.

In this thrilling culinary showdown, skilled “Black Spoon” chefs challenge top “White Spoon” star chefs in intense head-to-head battles, all using the same main ingredient. Culinary Class Wars has sparked a K-cooking survival show phenomenon, with its never-before-seen missions and fierce competition between passionate chefs, judged by culinary experts like Paik Jong Won and Anh Sung Jae.

While Culinary Class Wars is leading the charge in the reality genre, the Netflix original series Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 is also making waves. With 3.1 million views, it has secured the No. 2 spot in the Global Top 10 TV Series (Non-English) category. The series ranked in the Top 10 in 20 countries, including Nigeria, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Bangladesh, and the UAE.

Gyeongseong Creature 2 extends its narrative from the tumultuous spring of 1945 to the bustling streets of 2024 Seoul. Released on September 27th, the season has been praised for its deeper storyline, heightened suspense, and fast-paced action. Critics and fans alike have raved about how “the fast-paced narrative, paired with impressive action scenes, grabs both the eyes and ears.” TIME has called it “reminiscent of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ or ‘Wonder Woman: 1984.’”

Adding to the momentum, the film Officer Black Belt has maintained its position in the Global Top 10 Films (Non-English) category for three weeks straight, recording 5.1 million views. The action-packed film has made waves in 46 countries, including Brazil, Germany, Japan, and Indonesia. Officer Black Belt follows martial arts master Lee Jung Do (Kim Woo Bin) as he teams up with probation officer Kim Sun Min (Kim Sung Kyun) to prevent crime by closely monitoring individuals wearing electronic ankle monitors. With a fresh storyline and unseen heroics, the film has received praise for its intense, realistic action and the on-screen chemistry between the two actors.
