NCT WISH’s Riku has temporarily halted all activities due to his health.

On October 22, SM Entertainment announced that, after a recent “worsening of his health,” Riku would be going on a temporary hiatus from activities based on the recommendation of a doctor.

As a result, starting today, Riku will be sitting out all scheduled activities—including NCT WISH’s upcoming tour “2024 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in JAPAN,” which kicks off on November 3.

Riku previously sat out several recent events, including the 2024 Dream Concert, due to health concerns.

SM Entertainment’s full announcement is as follows:

Hello.
We are making an announcement regarding the state of member Riku’s health and his activities.

Riku recently visited the hospital due to a worsening of his health, and after being examined, he was advised by a doctor that he needed plenty of rest and stability. We deemed our artist’s health our top priority, so after serious discussions with Riku, it was decided that he would focus on his treatment and recovery.

Therefore, starting today, Riku will not be participating in scheduled activities, and when the time comes that he is able to return to activities in the future, we will let you know.

Accordingly, the “2024 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in JAPAN” that begins on November 3 will proceed with [the remaining] five members: Sion, Yushi, Jaehee, Ryo, and Sakuya. We ask for your generous understanding in regards to this fact.

We apologize for giving the fans cause for concern, and we will do our utmost so that Riku can be together with the fans in good health.
Thank you.

Get well soon, Riku!
