NCT WISH’s new comeback is off to a promising start!
On September 24, SM Entertainment officially announced that as of the day before (September 23), the rookie NCT unit’s first mini album “Steady”—which had not yet been released—had recorded a total of over 800,000 stock pre-orders.
The figure marks a new personal record for NCT WISH: notably, “Steady” easily beat the combined total of stock pre-orders for both the Korean and Japanese versions of NCT WISH’s previous single album “Songbird,” which was released this past July. (Combined, the Korean and Japanese versions of “Songbird” recorded a total of approximately 630,000 stock pre-orders.)
The number of stock pre-orders is the amount of album stock that is produced prior to an album’s release. The figure is the estimated demand calculated using various factors, including how many albums were pre-ordered by fans.
For their comeback with “Steady,” NCT WISH released music videos for not only the title track of the same name but also a pre-release track, “Dunk Shot,” and a B-side, “3 Minutes.” Check out all three music videos here!
Congratulations to NCT WISH on their new personal record!
