NCT’s Renjun will be temporarily halting all activities due to his health.

Last week, SM Entertainment suddenly announced that Renjun would be sitting out several of NCT DREAM’s scheduled activities due to a “worsening of his physical health.”

On April 20, the agency followed up by announcing that Renjun had been advised by a doctor that he needed “plenty of rest and stability” due to “a recent worsening of his health and symptoms of anxiety.”

As a result, Renjun will be going on a temporary hiatus and sitting out all activities starting from today’s scheduled fan signing event, including NCT DREAM’s upcoming “THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM( )SCAPE” concert in Seoul (which will be held for three days from May 2 to 4).

SM Entertainment also warned that it will take legal action against malicious posts and the spreading of false rumors about their artists.

SM Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:

Hello.

We are making an announcement regarding member Renjun’s activities.

Due to a recent worsening of his physical health and symptoms of anxiety, Renjun visited the hospital, and based on the results of his examination, he was advised by a doctor that he needs plenty of rest and stability.

We deemed our artist’s health our top priority, and after careful discussion with Renjun, we decided that he would focus on his treatment and recovery.

Therefore, Renjun will not be participating in his scheduled activities starting from the fan signing event scheduled for today (April 20), and we will make another announcement in the future when he is able to resume his activities.

NCT DREAM’s third concert “THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM( )SCAPE,” which will take place from May 2 to 4, will be held with the six remaining members: Mark, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. Therefore, we ask for fans’ generous understanding.

We would like to apologize for giving fans cause for concern. We will do our utmost so that Renjun can be together with the fans in good health.

Additionally, we are consistently checking for malicious posts, including hateful slander, sexual harassment, false rumors, insults, and defamation of character, about not only Renjun but all of our artists, and we are currently in the process of filing lawsuits [against those responsible]. We plan to hold the culprits legally responsible, with no settlements or leniency, and we will make efforts to protect our artists’ rights.

Thank you.

Wishing Renjun a speedy and full recovery.
