Upcoming TVING drama “Love in the Big City” has shared a sneak preview of Nam Yoon Su!
Based on the bestselling novel by Park Sang Young, “Love in the Big City” is a carefully crafted drama that blends comedy, classic romance, and romantic comedy. The series will follow young writer Go Young (Nam Yoon Su) as he navigates the ups and downs of life and love, with Park Sang Young himself adapting the script to capture the original’s charm.
Nam Yoon Su portrays Go Young throughout his 20s to 30s as he experiences the various trials and errors of youth. In episodes 1 and 2, he will portray a clumsy yet cute love, while episodes 3 and 4 will depict a turning point in Go Young’s life through his story with his mother Eun Sook. In episodes 5 and 6, Go Young will discover sincere love and find happiness as he settles down through a serious relationship. Finally, episodes 7 and 8 portray a mature Go Young as he directly faces his life in the big city head-on.
Director Heo Jin Ho, who helmed episodes 3 and 4, praised Nam Yoon Su, sharing, “In deciding his role, he made a very brave decision befitting that of a true actor. He is a very immersive actor, and working with him was enjoyable. I think he will mature into an even greater actor.”
In the upcoming drama, Kwon Hyuk will play Go Young’s first love Nam Gyu, while Na Hyun Woo will take on the role of Go Young’s second love Young Soo. “All of Us Are Dead” star Jin Ho Eun will play Go Young’s “true love” Gyu Ho. In addition to model Kim Won Joong playing the mysterious Habibi, Lee Soo Kyung and Oh Hyun Kyung will also add depth to the story as Go Young’s close friend Mi Ae and his mother Eun Sook, respectively.
“Love in the Big City” will broadcast all eight episodes via TVING on October 21. The drama will also be available on Viki!
