TVING’s upcoming series “Love in the Big City” has unveiled its first stills and storyline!
Based on the bestselling novel by Park Sang Young, “Love in the Big City” is a carefully crafted drama that blends comedy, classic romance, and romantic comedy. The series will follow young writer Go Young (Nam Yoon Su) as he navigates the ups and downs of life and love, with Park Sang Young himself adapting the script to capture the original’s charm.
Adopting a Hollywood-style system where different directors helm individual episodes, directors Heo Jin Ho, Hong Ji Young, Son Tae Kyeom, and Kim Se In each directed an episode, showcasing their unique styles. The series consists of eight episodes, each 50 minutes long, with two episodes per story arc.
Nam Yoon Su, who showcased his wide acting spectrum through various projects such as the dramas “Extracurricular,” “The King’s Affection,” and “Today’s Webtoon,” plays the protagonist Go Young, capturing the chronicle of his love life from his twenties to his thirties.
Kwon Hyuk, who impressed through the drama and film “The New Employee,” takes on the role of Go Young’s first love Nam Gyu.
Na Hyun Woo, who showcased his acting skills in JTBC’s “Lost” and tvN’s “Secret Royal Inspector & Joy,” portrays the role of Young Soo.
Rising star Jin Ho Eun, known for his performance in the drama “All of Us Are Dead,” takes on the role of bartender Kyu Ho, who plays a significant part in Go Young’s love story.
Furthermore, model Kim Won Joong stars as the mysterious Habibi, Lee Soo Kyung portrays Go Young’s close friend Mi Ae, and Oh Hyun Kyung plays Go Young’s mother Eun Sook.
“Love in the Big City” consists of a total of eight episodes with two episodes being released each week starting from October 21. Check out the latest teaser here!
