The Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner revealed on July 15th that further investigation is needed in the case against ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. HYBE, ADOR’s parent company, had accused Min of breach of trust in her management of the subsidiary.

Min underwent questioning at the Yongsan Police Station on July 9th for over eight hours. However, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Commissioner stated during a July 15th press conference, “We were not able to verify all the details during the investigation of CEO Min. Additional investigation seems necessary.”

When asked whether the lengthy investigation was still insufficient, the Commissioner responded, “We have to listen to everything Min says. Additionally, we have things we want to verify, so it was decided that further investigation is needed.”

Meanwhile, Source Music, the agency behind girl group LE SSERAFIM, has filed a separate lawsuit against Min. A representative for the label stated on July 15th that they are suing Min for damages, including defamation, business obstruction, and insult. Sports Seoul reports the lawsuit demands 500 million won in compensation.

The lawsuit stems from Min’s claims during her conflict with HYBE. Source Music argues that Min’s statements, such as personally casting NewJeans members, HYBE neglecting the group and the parent company breaking the promise to debut NewJeans as their first girl group, are false.
