Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, stars of tvN’s hit drama Lovely Runner, created a sensation at AAA 2024 with their first public reunion since the show’s finale in May, capping it off with a Best Couple Award victory.
The highly anticipated reunion at the Asia Artist Awards 2024 marked the pair’s first joint public appearance since their drama concluded, making it an exclusive moment for fans of the series that took Korean television by storm earlier this year.

Upon receiving their Best Couple Award, Byeon expressed, “I’m sincerely grateful to Hye Yoon,” while Kim responded with equal warmth, saying, “I’m thankful to Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok’s character) who made Sol (Kim Hye Yoon’s character) shine.”
In an exclusive interview with Star News backstage, Byeon shared, “We worked really hard filming ‘Lovely Runner,’ and I’m so happy that many people loved the ‘Sol-Sun Jae’ characters. Getting the Best Couple Award makes me feel fantastic.” He added, “Meeting Kim Hye Yoon again at an awards show feels quite special.”

The actor, making his AAA debut, continued, “I was nervous since it’s my first time at AAA, but receiving the award made me enjoy the moment. I’m really grateful. If given the chance, I’d love to come again.”
Speaking about the show’s impact, Byeon expressed, “Sun Jae was a character I truly loved. I’m so pleased that viewers loved him as much as I did. I’ll use all this attention and love as motivation to work even harder on my next character.”

Kim Hye Yoon revealed to Star News, “Thanks to all the love ‘Lovely Runner’ received, I’m having new experiences. From fan meetings both overseas and domestic to attending AAA 2024—this year has been full of new experiences. It’s been a grateful and honorable 2024, making me realize once again how much love ‘Lovely Runner’ received.”

When asked about her co-star, Kim warmly described Byeon as “a very caring and reliable friend.” She added, “This is our first public appearance together since ‘Lovely Runner’ ended. It was especially delightful to reunite after the show received so much love.”
