tvN’s drama Lovely Runner has achieved a series high with nationwide viewership ratings of 4.3 percent for episodes 3 and 4.

Episode 3 picks up where the last episode left off with Ryu Sun Jae (played by Byeon Woo Seok) heading to the swimming match despite Im Sol’s (Kim Hye Yoon) attempt to stop him. His determination pays off with a gold medal win, and he even attempts to confess his feelings to Sol, sparking heartwarming and sweetly funny moments between them.

However, things take a turn for the worse when Sun Jae gets injured in practice. His recovery is uncertain despite treatment and surgery. Later, Sun Jae gathers his courage and confesses his feelings to Im Sol, and they share a kiss.

But the happiness is short-lived. The next day, a drunken Sol forgets everything about the kiss, and Kim Tae Sung (Song Geon Hee) confesses his feelings to her, sending her right back in time.

In episode 4, wakes up in 2023, confused and desperate to get back to 2008. Meanwhile, in the present timeline, Baek In Hyuk tries to contact Im Sol about Sun Jae, but their call gets cut off.

Surprisingly, most of the changes Sol made in 2008 remain in 2023, indicating that she may have successfully altered Sun Jae’s future to some degree.

Later, Sol travels back to 2008 and realizes she only has one more shot to change Sun Jae’s fate. In 2008, she discovers that she’s in a relationship with Tae Sung and Sun Jae is upset with her.

Eventually, Sun Jae and Sol reconcile as he saves her from a drunken man, and Sol realizes that Sun Jae was the mysterious savior from her car accident all along.
