BLACKPINK’s Lisa has made it clear that the group’s journey is far from over, despite their individual solo activities and ventures. In a recent interview with ELLE, alongside a stunning photoshoot, Lisa opened up about her solo career, her love for the group, and her upcoming acting debut.
In the interview, Lisa emphasized that the members’ solo projects don’t signal the end of BLACKPINK. Even as some members have started their own agencies or joined new ones, the group has renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment, ensuring continued group activities. YG Entertainment has also teased a BLACKPINK tour in 2025.
“Of course we’re continuing, for sure,” Lisa stated. “We’re so proud of BLACKPINK, and I love BLACKPINK. It is not just because of our fans, it’s for ourselves.” She highlighted her commitment to the group by adding in Korean, “There was no doubt. This is our life.”
Lisa is also stepping into the world of acting, making her debut in HBO’s White Lotus Season 3, set in her home country of Thailand. Reflecting on this new venture, she shared, “It was such a welcome chance to be back home, to have Thai food every day, and have my mom close by on set.” She admitted feeling a mix of excitement and nerves, saying, “I’m super excited and nervous, because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, ‘Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?’”
Although Lisa hasn’t revealed much about her role, she likened the acting process to her experience filming music videos. “It’s pretty new to me, but I think it’s similar to shooting music videos… I’m excited for my fans to see it,” she said, expressing her enthusiasm for how her fans will react to seeing her in a different light.
