Upcoming JTBC drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” has shared a sneak peek of its first poster!
“The Tale of Lady Ok” tells the intense survival con game of Ok Tae Young (Lim Ji Yeon), who fakes her name, status, and even her husband, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her. Lim Ji Yeon’s character Goo Deok Yi is a servant forced to live as Lady Ok Tae Young, showcasing two very different sides of the same person.
The poster highlights the contrast between Goo Deok Yi’s tattered clothes and the bright, ornate palanquin, symbolizing her struggle between her lowly birth and the life she is forced to lead. Despite her shabby appearance—marked by dull clothes, a lifeless expression, and facial scars—there’s an unexpected elegance in her posture and expression, hinting at hidden dignity.
The phrase, “The fate of a servant carried in a flower palanquin,” and Goo Deok Yi’s gaze, blending anxiety and confidence, stir curiosity, leaving viewers to wonder what drove her to defy her social status in order to survive.
“The Tale of Lady Ok” is set to premiere on November 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
