Upcoming JTBC drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” has shared new posters featuring the lead cast!
“The Tale of Lady Ok” tells the intense survival con game of runaway slave Goo Deok Yi (Lim Ji Yeon), who assumes the identity of Lady Ok Tae Young after faking her name, status, and even her husband, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who risks everything to protect her.
The romance between Ok Tae Young, a former runaway servant now posing as a noble lady, and Cheon Seung Hwi, who left behind his life as the eldest son of a prestigious family to become a storyteller, is capturing viewers’ attention. The excitement grows with the release of character posters for the four main leads, including young lovers Sung Do Kyeom (Kim Jae Won) and Cha Mi Ryeong (Yeonwoo), teasing their complex, intertwined stories.
The posters illustrate the intricate tales of the four main characters—fake Ok Tae Young, Cheon Seung Hwi, Sung Do Kyeom, and Cha Mi Ryeong—each portrayed on the cover of a book. The images highlight mysterious details: Ok Tae Young wears a traditional veil, Cheon Seung Hwi holds a veil, Sung Do Kyeom has one eye covered by a long ornament, and Cha Mi Ryeong covers her mouth with the sleeve of her wedding hanbok. These poses suggest the hidden lives of the characters, each concealing their true identity.
The character taglines leave a lasting impression. Ok Tae Young’s determination is captured in the phrase, “I will not seek revenge. I will, however, reclaim everything.” Cheon Seung Hwi’s tragic love for Ok Tae Young is expressed with, “A world without you is a dark void, a death without tomorrow.” Sung Do Kyeom’s line, “Some lies shine brighter than the truth,” and Cha Mi Ryeong’s thought-provoking words, “Can you see? The heart I hold within,” spark curiosity and draw viewers in.
“The Tale of Lady Ok” will premiere on November 30 at 10:30 p.m. KST. Check out the latest teaser for the drama here!
