Lee Seung Gi has reportedly signed a Jeonse contract for a luxurious villa in the exclusive UN Village area of Hannam-dong, Seoul.

Jeonse is a housing rental system in Korea where tenants make a large lump-sum deposit, often 50-70% of the property’s value, instead of paying monthly rent. This deposit is fully refunded when the contract ends.

The villa Lee Seung Gi rented stands out not only for its luxurious features but also for its record-breaking price. It has set the highest Jeonse price in Seoul for the second consecutive year.

According to the real estate industry on December 6th, Lee Seung Gi signed the contract in August last year for a 255㎡ unit (second floor) in the luxury villa Lanuvo Hannam. Real estate records show that he put down a deposit of 10.5 billion KRW (about $7.2 million), and the contract runs until August 2026.

With this Jeonse agreement, it’s assumed Lee Seung Gi moved his newlywed home from his apartment in Samseong-dong, Gangnam. The singer and actress Lee Da In tied the knot in 2023 and had initially settled in his Samseong-dong apartment.

Lanuvo Hannam is a high-end property in UN Village, featuring only four units spread across two underground and four above-ground floors. Completed in 2022, no sales have been recorded since its construction, but a 255㎡ unit is currently listed for 22 billion KRW (about $15 million). The villa offers a duplex layout with stunning views of the Han River, making it one of the most luxurious homes in the area. EXO’s Baekhyun also moved into Lanuvo Hannam in 2023.

Lee Seung Gi also owns a luxury house in Seongbuk-dong, a prestigious neighborhood in Seoul. The two-story standalone home sits on a 1,000㎡ plot and has a total floor area of 1,200㎡. He purchased it at the end of 2021 for 5.635 billion KRW (about $3.9 million). It is reported that he took out a bank loan using his Samseong-dong apartment and other assets as collateral when purchasing the property.
