Upcoming film “About Family” has released new character posters featuring its cast!
“About Family” tells the story of the owner of Pyungmanok, a popular dumpling restaurant, who suddenly finds himself living with unexpected guests—adorable grandchildren he never knew he had. The owner, Ham Moo Ok (Kim Yun Seok), believed his family line had ended when his son Ham Moon Seok (Lee Seung Gi) became a monk.
Kim Yun Seok portrays Ham Moo Ok, seen happily asleep in front of a soju bottle, capturing a moment of drunkenness. This marks Kim Yun Seok’s first comedy role as he takes on the role of a character who is weak to alcohol. When his grandchildren offer him a drink, he is overwhelmed. His line, “Moon Seok, this is the best birthday gift of my life,” adds humor to the moment.
Lee Seung Gi, who shaved his head for the role, plays Ham Moon Seok, an abbot whose career is at risk due to the consequences of his past life. Kim Sung Ryung stars as Mrs. Bang, the most powerful figure of the family, while Kang Han Na portrays Moon Seok’s close friend, Han Ga Yeon. Park Soo Young plays In Haeng, Moon Seok’s fellow monk. These characters enrich the story and increase excitement for the film.
“About Family” is set to hit theaters on December 11.
