It’s official—Lee Jong Suk is gearing up for a new drama!
On November 5, Lee Jong Suk’s agency ACE FACTORY confirmed that the actor will be starring in tvN’s new drama “Seochodong” (literal title).
“Seochodong” is a passionate story about associate lawyers who go to work in the Seocho Judicial Town. Written by currently practicing lawyer Lee Seung Hyun, the drama will capture realistic stories as well as the growth of lawyers as they handle cases that could happen in everyday life.
Lee Jong Suk will take on the role of lawyer Ahn Joo Hyung, who has been practicing for nine years and is known for his fact-driven logic. Ahn Joo Hyung became a lawyer because he enjoys logic and cases, so he did not initially consider being a lawyer as a profession that protects the weak and serves justice to change the world. Having stayed at the same firm for nine years, he is also a veteran in the field. Despite reaching new records for associate lawyer pay, he has no desire to set up his own law firm. However, cracks begin to surface in Ahn Joo Hyung’s comfortable and stable work life.
Earlier this month, it was announced that Moon Ga Young is also in talks to star in the drama as the role of second-year lawyer Kang Hee Ji, a confident and honest character who believes that changing someone’s life will change that person’s entire world.
Through the upcoming project, Lee Jong Suk will reunite with “W” director Park Seung Woo, who has impressed with his unique creativity and portrayal through dramas such as “Kairos” and “Adamas.”
Having won the Daesang at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards for his lawyer role in his previous drama “Big Mouth,” Lee Jong Suk is already raising anticipation for his new transformation.
“Seochodong” is slated to air in the first half of 2025 via tvN. Stay tuned for more updates!
