tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Parole Examiner Lee” has released the first stills of Lee Hak Joo!

“Parole Examiner Lee” follows lawyer Lee Han Shin (Go Soo), who becomes a parole officer responsible for making final decisions on inmate paroles. Lee Han Shin is determined to prevent inmates who show little remorse for their crimes from obtaining paroles through money, connections, or deceitful tactics.

Lee Hak Joo will portray Ji Myung Seob, the son of Ji Dong Man (Song Young Chang), the chairman of one of South Korea’s top companies, Oh Jung Group. As a member of the untouchable upper class, Myung Seob has lived his life without fear of anything. With the power to escape any wrongdoing, he neither understands what constitutes improper behavior nor feels any sense of guilt.

In the still image below, Ji Myung Seob is seen wearing a prison uniform, yet he exudes confidence with an unyielding expression. His arrogant demeanor, as if he could leave the prison at any moment if he wanted, captures the viewer’s attention.

Lee Hak Joo explained, “Ji Myung Seob is a villain who believes he can do anything to weaker individuals. Having grown up exploiting his father’s power, he doesn’t realize his actions are wrong.” He added, “While portraying Ji Myung Seob, I put a lot of effort into using my imagination. I thought a lot about questions like, ‘If someone encountered Ji Myung Seob, what kind of his attitude would be most unpleasant?’ ‘What would provoke this character?’ and ‘Why does he lack a sense of guilt?’” raising anticipation for Lee Hak Joo’s unprecedented villain character.

“Parole Examiner Lee” is set to premiere on November 18 at 8:50 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
