Upcoming film “Harbin” has unveiled a new glimpse of Lee Dong Wook’s character!

Set in 1909 and starring Hyun Bin as Ahn Jung Geun, “Harbin” is a historical spy thriller about resistance fighters aiming to end the Japanese occupation of Korea.

Known for his standout roles in dramas like “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” “Tale of the Nine-Tailed,” and “A Shop for Killers,” Lee Dong Wook will play independence fighter Lee Chang Seop in “Harbin.” Although his character ends up facing off against Ahn Jung Geun, both share a strong commitment to defending their country.

Lee Dong Wook said, “Lee Chang Seop is a character with a strong, unwavering resolve to achieve the country’s independence, even through armed struggle. As a comrade who shares the same goal as Ahn Jung Geun, he has a deep friendship and trust [with Ahn Jung Geun], which allows him to openly express his views on their methods for achieving independence. For me, filming ‘Harbin’ was a journey to capture these aspects of the character.”

Director Woo Min Ho remarked, “I was surprised to discover a new side of Lee Dong Wook in ‘Strangers from Hell.’ I’m confident that audiences will see another new side of him in ‘Harbin’ as he flawlessly brings the impactful character of Lee Chang Seop to life.”

“Harbin” will hit theaters on December 25.
